For the past four years, I have been one of two editors on the International Builders Show’s IBStv team.

Each day of the convention, we produce and edit a show to be uploaded and delivered all around the city to be played all the following day. These include interviews, product segments, promos and commercials. As the filming crew runs back footage, we ingest, log, edit and deliver up to 30 minutes of content each day.

I’m also in charge of the setup and shared storage solution while we’re on location. Typically, this consists of two Mac-Pro’s each with dual monitors, scratch disks for renders, and a shared drive over SMB. (Also we throw in a couple exercise balls as those convention center chairs get really uncomfortable after 16 hours of editing.)
